Where has this month gone? I decided since I can’t get to sleep that I would log a thing or two down. My blog has been pretty bare these last couple of weeks but life has been anything but. I am still wondering how those parents of three or four kids do it. Maybe it gets easier? I’m sure I’ll find out one day.

Over the weekend my husband, daughter and I went to the OMSI… it’s a science musuem and a cool one at that. There was so much to take in and it was so busy that I felt like I couldn’t. Melody was really enjoying herself too. .. there wasn’t a peep out of her all day. She’s such a little doll.

Speaking of Melody, poor little thing must have her teeth coming in as she keeps poking her tongue in that general direction and she seems to want to gnaw on just about everything now.  Another thing is from 7pm and on she seems to really be fighting her bedtime…she just becomes generally cranky… I’m hoping that this won’t last that long. Needy… yes some days more than others I just think it’s because she is becoming even more aware of what’s around her and the teething too… I don’t mind because I’m Mommy and I know she needs me but it can be rather draining and hard to do things because if I leave her be she’ll start crying and every mother knows how that sucks the energy that you do have right out!

I managed to get some work done in the art department but not as much as I would have liked… then again, it is only Monday, so I hope this week will get a little better for me… Already Monday and I’m crying for the weekend…going to ask God for a bit more energy and peace of mind 😛

I guess maybe I should try to get some sleep now, Lord willing…

Last Week

I really do know I am due a recap of how life has been going lately!
Just last week Great Grandpa Lowmaster ( to Melody) visited all the way from Pennsylvania! I can relate a bit about living there because I did when I was 8-10 years old. Right now the foliage would be at it’s peak Fall colors… it was absolute gorgeousness. Here you don’t get the fall colors so much because there’s so many Evergreens. So, being busy we tried to spend as much time with GG Lowmaster as we could before he had to fly back home. One of the fun things we did was going up to Tillamook, Oregon and touring the cheese factory together. It was quite fascinating. Another thing we did was spending time with GGrandma Francis Quimby on her 85th birthday. These are family memories to cherish and hold forever.

Now Justin, Melody, and I went to the Pioneer Museum in Tillamook as well as a visit to Oregon’s Shortest Lighthouse ! It was raining so I had Melody in Bjorn wrapped up in my coat… hehe… On Sunday we visited Fir Point Farms and bought 70lbs of plump pumpkins! We arent’ going to carve all of them but I am hoping to cook something with them.

Tuesday was a tough day for me because Melody got her four month shots. She was so sad after wards but soon cheered up later in the evening.

I’ve been busy working on my own Christmas designs for my shop and also started work on a design for my clients.

We’ve got some grocery shopping to do in a bit so I’ll cut this short for now.

I believe it has now officially entered the rainy season … so I guess I can kiss the sunshine could by for the next 6 months? …I love rain but sometimes with living here, I can easily get sick of it…hahaha

Yesterday I was quite busy as I entertained and fed my in-laws and my husbands Grandpa of whom is visiting all the way from Pennsylvania! Speaking of the PA, I bet the leaves on trees there are looking gorgeous… I would know this because when I was 8-10 years old, my family and I lived in PA and it was absolutely stunning. My Mom has several great pictures of my older sister and I standing on a covered bridge with the fall trees all around! Here in Oregon, it’s a different story, there’s so many Evergreens that all you see is green! …And this is why my husband needs to take my daughter and I to the pumpkin fields to get some Fall color in our pictures… and hopefully on a day when it doesn’t rain.

So tomorrow since my husband has the day off and GG Lowmaster is visiting, we are going to go up to Tillamook Oregon and visit the dairy/cheese factory! That’ll be fun and dry…lol. I don’t want to be getting Melody out in the rain to much especially with cold season about to start…

Justin should be home for lunch soon so I gotta fly!

If you have children or grandchildren, work with children at church, or you
have neighborhood children whose parents you know, please take note of the
information below and pass it along to others. Schools are distributing this
book to children through the Scholastic Book Club.

The name of the book is Conversations with God.. James Dobson talked about
this book twice this week. It is devastating. Parents, churches and
Christian schools need to be aware of it. Please pass this information on to
church/e-mail addressees, Parents, Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins,

Please pay special attention not only to what your kids watch on TV, in
movie theaters, on the internet, and the music they listen to, but also be
alert regarding the books they read.

Two particular books are, Conversations with God and Conversations with God
for Teens, written by Neale D. Walsch. They sound harmless enough by their
titles alone. The books have been on the New York Times best sellers list
for a number of weeks, and they make truth of the statement, “Don’t judge a
book by its cover or title.”

The author purports to answer various questions asked by kids using the
“voice of God”. However, the “answers” that he gives are not Bible-based and
go against the very infallible word of God. For instance (and I paraphrase),
when a girl asks the question “Why am I a lesbian?” His answer is that she
was ‘born that way’ because of genetics (just as you were born right-handed,
with brown eyes, etc.). Then he tells her to go out and “celebrate” her

Another girls poses the question “I am living with my boyfriend. My parents
say that I should marry him because I am living in sin. Should I marry him?”

His reply is, “Who are you sinning against? Not me, because you have done
nothing wrong.”

Another question asks about God’s forgiveness of sin. His reply “I do not
forgive anyone because there is nothing to forgive. There is no such thing
as right or wrong and that is what I have been trying to tell everyone, do
not judge people. People have chosen to judge one another and this is wrong,
because the rule is “‘judge not lest ye be judged.”
Not only are these books the false doctrine of the devil, but in some
instances quote (in error) the Word of God.

And the list goes on. These books (and others like it) are being sold to
schoolchildren through (The Scholastic Book Club), and we need to be aware
of what is being fed to our children.

Our children are under attack. So I pray that you be sober and vigilant
about teaching your children the Word of God, and guarding their exposure to
worldly mediums, because our adversary, the devil, roams about as a roaring
lion seeking whom he may devour (1 Peter 5:8). We know that lions usually
hunt for the slowest, weakest and YOUNGEST of its prey.

Pass this on to every Believer you know. God bless! And, if you are in
doubt, check out the books yourself.
