The Waiting Game

It’s the waiting game for me. I turn 39 weeks pregnant tomorrow but I am pretty sure I could have my baby anytime now. I survived the record high temperatures of the weekend with almost grace…lol… No, I was completely miserable up until Saturday evening when a friend of my husbands gave us a AC unit which they no longer used or needed. Praise The Lord. I actually got a full night of rest Saturday night.

The contractions are still very on and off. Stronger yes… so strong a few times I was ready to go out the door to the hospital but to much ado, they stop and don’t occur again for awhile. I’m so ready for her to come out!

I had my baby shower get together with my life group and it was a lot of fun 🙂 Melody got lots of great little gifts which I am sure she will love!

Last night, my life group attended a showing of Lord Save us From Your Followers.. it’s main focus being and asking the question Why is the Gospel of Love Dividing America?” it’s A very fascinating the documentary so I recommend it to everyone to see.

Two weeks to go!

With Melody’s due date only two weeks away, we are getting very excited. We have about everything we need and more. I’ve been taking it super careful since on Sunday I had spill in the church parking a lot.  I was more traumatized than embarrassed if anything else. My husband had stopped quite suddenly on our way out of church and I tripped on him and fell forward! That goes to show you that pregnant women really don’t have balance.  I was okay and so was the baby.. I had just had a few scrapes and scratches. I will say I was really worried for awhile as I was having much much stronger contractions. Never more than three in and hour but they were lasting for quite sometime. They’ve since not but as regular but they’ve been quite stronger for sure.

I hope everyone had a wonderful Mother’s Day! I know I did! For mother’s day, I got a nice Japanese Cherry Blossom set from Bath and Body Works, a new pair of sandals from Kohls, A new leather Bible with my name on it ( good thing, I had been using my extreme teen Bible for the last 12 years), and a lovely dinner at Hakamoto restaurant on Saturday. 🙂

I also received a package for Melody over the weekend as well and they gifted her with lots of nice Carter clothes 3-6 months. 🙂 Thank you! Grandma Becky also gave us a nice baby calendar that we love lots!

In other news : We’ve got record high heats approaching this weekend! If weird weather makes babies come sooner… this might work… LOL

Birth Verse

My mom forwarded me this really cool site that has where you can put in your birth date and it will show you a corresponding Bible verse. It’s pretty neat and even has where you can purchase products with the Bible verse on them!

January 13th

Ephesians 1:13 NIV
And you also were included in Christ when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation. Having believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit,

You are a child of God, His treasured possession. He created you in His own image. He chose the day for you to be born. He has a plan and a purpose for your life. Cherish your birthverse.

BIRTHVERSE consists of 366 verses chosen from the 66 books of the Bible. Each verse correlates the chapter and verse with its month and day.

Can’t wait to see what Melody’s is!

Time is ticking

With only 22 days more or less to go, things are getting pretty much ready for our new little arrival 🙂
I had an enjoyable baby shower and would love to thank my mother in-law, sister- in law, and my husbands aunt for putting it together for us. I’ll have to work on getting those Thank You cards out sometime soon. I believe I slept for 12 hours straight to recuperate over the weekend.  LOL … but from what I’ve heard mommy and baby are going to be needing all that extra energy!

My husband and I saw Iron Man yesterday in the theater with a couple of our friends. It was an enjoyable movie and had character as well as action which is a must have for all women!

The weather has been just wonderful and it looks like it’s here to finally stay! I always seem more chipper when the sun is out for the most part… it’s because I’m from the south… lol
