Looking Ahead

The weather outside is absolutely gorgeous! This is not a typical February day for Oregon! We’ve got blue skies and highs in the sixties, is this striking anyone else as odd? My husband, daughter, and I took a walk to the park, meanwhile contemplating and deciding what route we are taking on relocating in the next two months. We sat down a few days ago with a home loan rep and we saw were we stood there. We are hoping and praying on getting into a rental home that we pay less for than the $775 we pay here for a 2 bedroom apartment. I don’t like apartments and quite frankly, who does? We have noisy neighbors, smokers on the top and bottom floor of us, and then we have little kids knocking on our door all the time asking for money. Oh, we got a notification today that we have to get rid of our grill, so there goes our yummy BBQ dinners.

Well, we aren’t going to be living here in two months, that much is certain. So, I’m going to be praying pretty hard about what were are wanting in house. I mean goodness people, I want to be able to open my window to let fresh air in for my family not toxic disgusting cigarette smoke. I want to be able to enjoy were I am at and not have to worry about some dog from upstairs pissing on my head or my child while we sit on porch ( which I don’t already do due to the smoking neighbors).

So yeah, I’ve been looking a lot online and going to snag some papers in the neighboring towns. I would ask that those of you that will, would pray for us.

Sleep Deprived Parents

So here’s to asking all the mom’s out there… what do you do when your child just suddenly stops her wonderful sleeping pattern at night? This is what my husband and I have been dealing with for the past couple of nights. Our eight month daughter used to sleep through night only waking up once and now it’s every hour with wailing and crying. It was so bad last night that my husband had to go and sleep on the couch.  I haven’t changed my diet and no excessive ammount of caffine. I am wondering if this may be due to her thyroid/medication but I won’t know that until next week as she is getting her blood tested tomorrow.  Maybe I should give her a bath before bed, go for a car ride, I don’t know…any ideas for us?

Skin MD Shielding Lotion Review

Do you have dry skin? Well, I’ve got the perfect product for you! I recently received the opportunity to try out Skin MD Natural Shielding Lotion and I must say I’m very pleased with the results. My skin is naturally oily, so I don’t’ usually have a lot of problems with my skin becoming dry but as of lately, the cold harsh Oregon weather had been taking a toll on my face and hands! This lotion re-hydrated my skin, within just one use and my skin felt renewed, fresh, smooth, and so very soft, even my husband noticed the difference! If your husband notices the difference ladies than I  say this product is a must!

Skin Md Shielding lotion works so as to have irritants kept – OUT, moisture – IN, making this
the perfect dry skin care product! Did I mention also that this lotion can be applied all over, not just on your face and hands!

Another wonderful thing about this lotion is not only does do every thing I mentioned before but it also has  a Sunscreen block of SPF 15! I am a big fan of lotions that are equipped with sunscreen because I would rather not smell like suntan lotion all day when I am plan on being out in the sun! This product has a light and very pleasing smell. Most sunscreens leave me feeling greasy and this product does not.

My daughter has hypothyroidism and I’ve read that Thyroid Malfunctions Can Cause Extremely Dry Itchy Skin. I found that Skin MD Natural™ is an excellent dry skin treatment for these conditions. They even talk about it on their website and this won me over to deciding that always having a bottle around my house is a must.

If you’d like to give this product a try for yourself before buying it, they offer free samples on their website! I would encourage everyone to at least give this product a try.

Country Bob’s All Purpose Sauce Review & Giveaway!

I’m so excited because today I received my shipment of Country Bob’s Sauce in the mail (as you can see, my daughter is excited too!)! I am really looking forward to making BBQ chicken with this sauce over this weekend! I had to tell my husband not to touch it until I use what I need for our chicken! My husband is a big sauce dipper, he’s constantly dipping foods into various sauces even some which I don’t think are so great of an idea.

Since I’m a christian, I love the fact that the creator of Country Bob’s Sauce gives God the credit where credit is due.
On the sauces site, he mentions Proverbs 16:3 which says, “Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and your plans will succeed.”  They also state that the true ownership of Country Bob, Inc. is in the hands of God. “Christ is our CEO” and He is an Awesome Boss! How wonderful is that?

Currently Country Bob’s also sells BBQ sauce, Seasoning Salt and Spicy All Purpose Sauce in addition to the regular All Purpose Sauce. Country Bob’s is more than a steak sauce; you can grill, cook, and marinate with it, or even put it in your soups, stews, baked beans, and your other favorite dishes. Want to experience the taste?

You could win Country Bob’s Sauce!

Country Bob’s Sauce is generously offering 2 winners, 2 bottles of Country Bob’s All Purpose Sauce each to one of my lucky readers!

Over the weekend

Over the weekend my DH, DD, and I went out with our life group. We spent time over at a sports/game club called “Players” but we didn’t get to play anything because they were way to busy. So everyone decided on going to a restaurant called” Claim Jumper” for dessert.  I had never been to Claim Jumper before.  What blew my mind is that they have this huge ten layer cake that you can order a slice from! I wasn’t’ up for that much cake so I just had a hot fudge sundae instead ( pictured above).  It was pretty yummy.

The Superbowl was really good, much better than last years game in my opinion! My favorite commercial was the cute little bug one by Coke! I really enjoyed the little grasshoppers, it brought back lots of childhood memories.  Here’s the commercial again just in case you missed it!

I’ve been working on getting more organized since I’ll be doing more reviews, giveaways, and graphic design this year! It’s been a very productive year for me and by this I am blessed. I’ve been a little busier but I always make sure to make the time for my family. 🙂 Buiser it better than naught and with being busy it means being more productive.
