We are going on vacation this Summer and I was deciding on what children’s music to bring with us on our long car rides. I wanted something that we all would obviously love to hear too. And if it’s a a great sing-a-long CD, even better! This can sometimes be a challenge in finding music a 2 year old, five year old, and both mom and dad wouldn’t mind looping for awhile. Trust me, there’s some music out there that can drain the life out of any parent and in turn bore the kids out of their mind. I’m sure we’ve all been there!
Listen to the Birds: An Introduction to Classical Music is a beautifully unique storybook that cleverly introduces the world of classical music to children of all ages. In doing so the melodious similarities of instrumental notes such as the flute, harpsichord, organ, and so on are compared to the sounds of bird songs. The works of composers such as Mozart, Tchaikovsky, Vivaldi, and many more have been included.

My kids have grown up on The Wiggles! My daughter Melody discovered The Wiggles when she was two years old and has been enjoying all of their shows both new and old up to her current age of 4 1/2!
The long wait is over! Award-winning kids’ musician SteveSongs — known and loved by millions of families throughout the country as “Mr. Steve,” co-host of the nationally broadcast PBS KIDS preschool destination — has just released his eighth CD, Orangutan Van.
Orangutan Van continues the SteveSongs tradition of great melodies, catchy lyrics, and playful humor, all wrapped up into what WERS-FM’s The Playground called “a lovingly created concoction of fun and smart.”
“Smart” captures the essence of the respect shown to Steve’s work. Steve Roslonek, who performs as SteveSongs, is committed to entertaining while educating, laughing while learning.
Steve explains, “Laughter is important, and a lot of the songs on Orangutan Van are really fun. There’s a subtraction song about Dan, Stan, flanana flavored flan and an 11-seat orangutan van, there’s a sing-along to celebrate the Grumps when they come to visit, and Silly Vanilli (from my album Marvelous Day) is back to explain why ‘A is for Silly.’ But as funny as many of these songs are, they’re imbued with lessons that I hope will resonate with kids, reinforcing similar messages that they hear from parents, teachers, or mentors.”
How great it was to discover Steve’s newest CD Orangutan Van. We had only heard of Steve before between shows on PBS in the morning hours. And between those shows were some of my kids favorite times because both my 4 year old and my 2 year old love listening to Steve Songs!

Jeremy Camp has been incredibly successful at retaining fans, and this release will be no different. New and old fans alike will find ‘Reckless’ to be as heart-felt and passionate as ever. Jeremy Camp has had a stellar 10-year career, earning accolades that most artists only dream of including 5 RIAA certified Gold-selling records, over 3.5 million records sold to date, a GRAMMY nomination for his 2010 album Speaking Louder Than Before, and a total of 32 No. 1 Radio hits across all formats (AC, CHR, Rock, & Inspo). In 2010 Jeremy Camp released We Cry Out: The Worship Project, which featured the still-charting single ‘Overcome.’ Jeremy then went on to release a greatest hits collection in 2012, I Still Believe: The Number Ones Collection, which featured 14 of Jeremy’s best tracks. He also released his first Christmas album, Christmas: God With Us in September 2012.
I have really been enjoy this album. First and foremost, know that Jeremy Camp is up there as one of my favorite Christian music artist. His sound is distinct and his lyrics rich. When listening you clearly can feel the words spoken from his own life which many of us can relate to in different ways. This album doesn’t disappoint in reflecting on and in God’s mercy, goodness, and love.
My favorite song on this album is “We Must Remember” about God’s forgiveness and about how He died for us and bore all our shame and pain. He sings of the victory, redemption, and saving Grace of our ever loving ever lasting Saviour. There are many other great songs on the album and I could sing praise about every single one. This album right now is one of my go to when I want to have some quite time with the Lord or when I feel the need to be surrounded by uplifting music that Praises my God! I highly recommend Jeremy’s latest album, I wasn’t disappointed in the least bit.
