We are feeling much better. Whatever seemed to hit hard last Sunday evening is now gone. It still perplexes me to as how we caught it in the first place and what exactly the illness was. Still a little tired but once we start eating better again and getting out to exercise, I’m sure we’ll be doing alot better.
Speaking of exercise, I haven’t done my wiifit all last week and other than being sick, our wii mote charger died and we have to buy a new one before we can use it again. So, I’m going to try to walk everyday next week instead. We’ll probably even hit the park!
Congratulations to all the winners I just announced! I love all the products I received from those companies and promise, you won’t be disappointed with your winnings. 🙂
Daddy & Melody in the Hot tub
I did write a post yesterday on how I’ve been sick and trying to get better. It is no longer here because I had quite the scare. I tried to update my blog to WordPress version 2.8 and then I was having problems posting so long story short, my entire blog vanished. Yes, it was gone! Talk about traumatic! Must be kinks in the update…anyone else having problems?
I didnt’ freak out over the whole situation. Instead I went and talked with Blue Host customer support and they restored my whole site from a day ago. I was so relieved! Did I mention how much I love Blue Host? Well, I do, they have great customer support and supply all my web hosting needs.
Okay, I mentioned I’ve been sick. I have no diagnosis though I went to the Doctor.I seem to be getting better but am incredibly fatigued. The ulcers in my mouth have been making it hard to eat. Yes, Ulcers… ugh! I am a very clean person… and have no idea how I could’ve gotten on the wrong side of the fence healthwise. I love my husband so much and happened to share this with him too. He’s proof that woman have a higher pain tolerance lol. Yes, we’ve both been in a huge amount of pain. I hope this doesn’t last much longer.
I’ve been put in my place to slow down a bit with everything. So less requesting of PR, less book reviewing, and more time with my family and designing graphics is to come.
The pictures were taken a few days ago. Melody loves the hot tub. Don’t worry it wasn’t hot at all, I would’nt have let her get in if it was. She has warmer baths than the hot tub was. Melody had a blast giggling and laughing and she kicked and splashed around.
Yes, we pamper our Daughter.
…I’m infectious. I caught the measles from my daughter whom just had her MMR shots last monday. I knew I had chicken pox and some other spotty virus when I was younger but am pretty sure this is the measles. I thought I couldn’t catch these since I was vaccinated as a child! So, I went and looked at my shot record, and it turns out, I never had my MMR shots! Thanks mom and dad. Do they sell Hallmark cards for this sort of thing? lol
So, after I pick up my packages at UPS later 😛 … I am under house arrest until two weeks time. Joy! lol… Well, this leaves me plenty of time to blog, design, and improve my Pangya golf score. 😉
I’m currently trying not to claw myself to death. These bumps are so itchy! They showed up yesterday evening and have multiplied even more today. No, I am not sharing any photos… lol… yes, I’m slightly miserable.
My husband told me to try this…
I mentioned that my daughter came down with Hay Fever over the weekend. Hay Fever symptoms consists of the following:
The Morning of her 1st Birthday Party
- Congested (“stuffy”) nose
- Trouble sleeping
My daughter had every single one of these symptoms. Her birthday party still went on though she looked pretty horrible. I felt helpless in doing nothing but giving her the recommended dosage of benadryl that the advice nurse recommend me give her for weight of 17lbs. I felt like I needed to do more and scrubbed the apartment from top to bottom, washed all laundry, bedding, etc… She seems to be doing much better today. Also a huge factor, the windows have been closed. It’s really hot in here but I would rather it would be instead of making my poor little Melody that much more miserable.
Has anyone else had or have young children with severe allergies during this time of the year?
Birth to Six Months
Six to 12 months
Melody about one year ago from today
These photos are just glimpse into the past 12 months of my daughter’s life. What a joy those past few months have been and my how fast they go by.I wouldn’t change anything. We laughed and cried and over all were just plain ole silly together. It’s so hard to believe it’s been a year. I can still play out that day in the hospitable when I first laid eyes on her oh so well. Every time I look at her my heart fills with so much love. Both my husband and I have enjoyed every minute of this last year watching our daughter grow into the wonderful, beautiful and most of all, happy little girl that she is.
God has surely blessed our lives abundantly and we are forever grateful and thankful He chose us to guide and lead our daughter in her life.
We had a birthday party for friends and family to partake in the celebration on Sunday. Melody was a good sport even though she came down with Hay Fever. Oh, she looked so sad and miserable in all of her photos. That’ll be something for the scrapbook. Another reminder too, that life happens and plans change.
Taken 3 days before her 1st Birthday
For the sake of her allergies, I’m going to for go the photos in the park and do my best with what I can in the apartment tomorrow. She’s still got gifts from Mommy and Daddy and my parents to open 🙂
I had a scare over the weekend. A dog (a.k.a Pitbull) nearly attacked my daughter. God was truly looking out for her. I would have never forgiven myself if something had happened to her. I now will never trust any animal around my children. I was wary before but now I am even more so.
I honestly think this breed of dog should eliminated. Yes, this could’ve happened with any breed but have you seen all the stories in the news of children becoming victims to the monsters? I read that the bite of a pit bull is similar to that of a shark. They physically maim and rip their “prey/victim” up. I think pit bull owners should be legally required to take special precautions because of the danger their dogs pose — simply by existing.
