Koru Naturals {Schoolhouse Crew Review }

I’m not usually one to go out of my way to pamper myself but lately I’ve taken notice I feel so much better when I do. Depending on the method, it really doesn’t take much time or effort to refresh ones inner or outer-self. I firmly believe that in feeling renewed daily,  makes for a more cheerful soul and a happy heart in return! One of my personal favorite ways to nourish myself is through my health and beauty care routine.

As part of the Schoolhouse Crew Review team, I’ve been given the opportunity to share my thoughts upon a few of the heath and beauty care products by Koru Naturals! I received Emu Oil & Manuka Oil & Honey Shampoo and Conditioner to review. We’ve been enduring an early Spring in Oregon and with that comes several skin irritations from eczema that needs controlled to uncomfortable contact rashes. Each of these products couldn’t have come at a better time for my family to use in aiding our skin care needs be it for health, happiness, or both! Continue reading

Heirloom Audio Productions: In Freedom’s Cause {Schoolhouse Crew Review}

My children like learning history through age appropriate video documentaries and audio books.  The more exciting and adventurous it is, the better. Honestly, who would want to sit and listen to a poorly narrated monotone voice-over for an extended amount of time? Certainly, not me.  I’ve found that with well done curriculum, once I bring something up from their lessons of past they tend to recall important information far better. I can’t stress enough on how it’s so important to offer children engaging ways to study that appeal to their interests and learning styles.  Learning should pique curiosity and the imagination. We as parents have the opportunity to nurture that with the right tools &  resources!

As part of the Schoolhouse Crew Review team, I jumped at the opportunity to share my thoughts upon Heirloom Audio Productions latest audio theatrical drama adapted from a book, by G.A. Henty. This particular tale with a Christian perspective presents the history of William Wallace and King Robert The Bruce in an exciting way. I received the In Freedom’s Cause Single Package which includes a physical 2 CD set, a digital download study guide, MP3 soundtrack, and a digital copy of The Prayer of William Wallace. The package  has everything one would need to complete a great study and is very reasonably priced at just $29.97 plus shipping and handling. Continue reading

Great Commission Films: IndoctriNation {Schoolhouse Crew Review}

It’s been a controversial  topic for as long as I can recall whether to teach children at home or to place them into a public school system.  I feel that I’ve had to constantly to defend my decisions and to give reasons why my family made the choice to keep our children out of public school. I’ve heard many questions as well as accusations that our choice to homeschool could have the potential to damage my children. Aside from not feeling like my children would receive a proper education, my main reason to do so is because Christianity has been stripped out of the classroom. I don’t feel that my children’s religious freedoms and faith in God should be removed as well as attacked.

As part of the Schoolhouse Crew Review team, I’ll be sharing a few of my own as well as my husband’s thoughts as well on Great Commission Films documentary IndoctriNation.  They present a hot and very controversial  subject on the decline of Christianity in America public schools.  I believe every christian parent should see this film.  Making ones self  aware of what’s really going on is the first step to making the right choices. It’s not really equality that’s being taught if even mentioning the name of God can get a teacher fired, a valedictorians mic turned off during a graduation speech when she thanks Jesus, and so on.
