Lucy Loves Sherman is a book about friendship, falling in love with what seems the unusual, finding your voice, taking a stand, and calling others to join you in a cause you believe is worth fighting for. It’s a story packed full of important matters intended for children ages 3-6 years old. I feel there’s no time better than sooner to get those wheels turning in those little heads of theirs and that’s why I adore this book so.
Hattie Peck: The Journey Home is the second book in this series. We loved the first book and without surprise have enjoyed the second just as much. In this lovely offering by author Emma Levey, we see that Hattie faces the challenge of letting go as her diverse and wonderful flock are now ready to leave the nest so to speak.
Growing minds need interesting books that are fun to look at and educational. A book that my one-year-old daughter goes back to again and again is 100 First Words. I knew the updated version of the book was a must-have because the previous edition I had for my two older children and since gifted to another mother was enjoyed just as much.
In this book, babies and toddlers are introduced to familiar things. The categories covered on two-page spreads are My Body, My Toys, Out and about, Mealtime, Pets, Things that go, and Bathtime. Things seen range from slippers to flowers. Bright colors and patterns appear on all pages.

God Loves Mommy and Me is a sweet little book that highlights the bond only a mother and child could have together. Throughout the story, we see how a mother and a child spending one on one time together picking flowers, splashing in puddles, exploring nature and so forth share in the wonder of God’s creation.
Many different situations have been highlighted that point back to God’s love for us like when we fall down and he makes everything better. Children will learn how God nurtures, cares and provides for all of his children just a like a mother.

Princess Prayers a book in The Princess Parables series is a great way for little girls to start memorizing scripture and learning prayers. Girly-Girls will certainly be drawn to the book with it’s glittery soft board book type cover, illustrated princes’ scenes and text bordered with floral and jeweled imagery throughout. This book is an ideal fit for little girls ages 4-8 years old.

If you have a child that loves once upon a time type of stories, chances are they’ll be interested in “The Once Upon a Time Storybook Bible& Holy Bible”. The main difference with this offering is that these stories as fantastical and miraculous that they sound and seem actually happened! I like that the even on the cover of the book they state so to not confuse children that “The Bible is not a fairy tale. Every great story happened once upon a time”. No fairy Tales here, just the divine wonder and awesomeness of our great God!
