37 week check up

Things are going fine still. 37-weeks-pregnant

My results on the strep test were negative :) Yay, for that!
I’m at 135lbs … baby is doing good… Doc said he could feel her head down there when he was checking around. So, she’s close! I was still only about 80% effaced and 1 cm dilated but I know  how quickly that could change too!

Time is ticking and soon she will be here… Soon my life is going to spin even more but all for the better! God has given me such a responsibility and such a gift as well. I couldn’t be happier!

A scare!

Yesterday we had a scare and ended up going to the Doctor. I had a temperature running from 100-102 in the wee morning hours and we couldn’t figure out why. They weren’t’ sure why either but are thinking it could be from the cold my husband had last week.  I was prescribed to take Tylenol while my fever persisted, to drink plenty of fluids and to take it really easy. No arguing there.

I’m feeling okay today… didn’t get a full nights rest since my stomach was cramping a lot.  I take it my body is getting more and more ready for delivering my baby!

I have my 37 week appointment tomorrow… so we will see how far along the effacing and the dilation is coming.

Doc’s Appointment

We’ve got our 36 week Doctor’s appointment later today… I’ll write about it then :) Whew, only a few more36-weeks-pregnant weeks to go and my little popper of a girl is probably getting as anxious as me for sure!

UPDATE: Well everything is looking good. I was swabbed today for test that looks for bacteria in me that could be harmful to the baby.  If I am positive, they can give me an antibiotic that will render that from affecting Melody during my labor. My Cervix is at 80%…that means 20% to go and my water can break at anytime. I figured she’d be one to come earlier! I figure if she does, it’ll be one to two weeks. I am only dilated 1 cm but that can change rather quickly as I’ve been having more and more contractions lately!
