Abundantly Blessed
Yesterday Mommy, Daddy, and Melody were greatly blessed! Our church had a mommy swap going. Basically Mom’s would take certain clothes, toys, and gear that they didn’t need anymore and swap it out with stuff that other’s brought. Well, we didn’t have anything to swap but we e-mailed and asked if we could drop on by since whatever wasn’t taken would be donated and they had no problem with that. But before we went to the Mommy swap, I picked up a few outfits from a craigslist that I purchased… ( mostly 0-3 months stuff). At th Mommy Swap, we got a Evenflo Travel System ( great condition), a Bjorn, a Safari Exersaucer, toys, and several outfits that Melody will look so cute in! You can view pictures here. God does see to your every need…. Praise God for the blessings!
Five Months and 3 Weeks
So, today I have officially been pregnant for 23 weeks, that would be five months and three weeks! I’m over the half way point and feeling it every day. I’ve been more clumsy and I’ve been bouncing into everything… I feel like a ping pong ball. I
am having to learn to take it even slower and not to push myself to much to avoid being a walking talking bumper car.
I can feel Melody growing even bigger! She should be just about a foot long now and weighing a little over a pound.
I will have to try to video my tummy when she is moving around and pushing on me. It’s so crazy to feel and to watch!
So yesterday, I was browsing youtube and I saw a video were someone took a picture of themselves everyday for like seven years… It’s amazing to see how much we change everyday. I plan on doing this with Melody. It’ll look really really neat over the span of the year or so because children, especially babies change and grow so much so quickly!
Also, I believe I’ve been having Braxton-Hicks contractions. Kinda scary but I am not to worried about them…
::Update:: We were blessed greatly by the church tonight at the Mommy swap…! Pictures to come soon
I ‘m coco for cocoa butter!
Today we’ve hit the 22 week mark. How was my 21st week of pregnancy? I discovered that pregnant ladies itch because of
skin expanding due to growing bigger. Unlike most ladies, I was itching to the extreme and I was having so much discomfort that I wanted to remove my breast…lol… and yes they really did hurt that bad.. all red sore and itchy! Not very fun at all! I got some advice from someone in my church life group who had been pregnant before and she recommended Cocoa Butter lotion and Vitamin E oil and let me tell you something, that’s the best advice that I’ve received all year…LOL. I didn’t get the lotion she specifically recommended because Baby’s R Us wasn’t open at the time but my husband and I swung by Rite Aid and got a lotion by Vaseline that has both cocoa butter and vitamin e in it… It has worked wonders because I haven’t had any discomfort since using it… Praise the Lord. As for the sleeping problems I have been having because of Melody’s sleep schedule…she’s let up on me. I do believe that the caffeinated tea I had at my mother in law’s had something to do with the crazy movement she was having this weekend. No more caffeine for me… lol… I was so worn out. Things seems to be okay this week so far just as long as I get a nap.
