Love Does for Kids {Book Review and Giveaway}

Love Does for Kids is the follow up to Bob Goff’s New York Times bestselling Love Does. In this offering, Bob is joined by his daughter Lindsey to share stories from their family that point to the love and goodness of God as they in turn spread their love to others in the name of God.

My husband has been reading this to our 10 and 7 year old daughter and son and they are enjoying the stories. They ask daily for the next story to be shared in the book and have a real enthusiasm for discovering what might be next in the life of the Goff’s.

Each chapter is a story about real life and how it ties to how God loves us and how we should love others. Bob and Lindsey Goff,  have led a very interesting life and the stories show it.

Even as I read them I am reminded of the better roads to take in life and that good attitudes and actions that show the love of Christ to the world around us is a great way to live. I’m glad the kids are hearing these stories and teaching.

I wouldn’t consider it a devotional, but it has plenty of good things to say.

There are 46 chapters, so about a month and a half of reading if you read one a day every day.

The illustrations are colorful and perfectly depict the stories they are meant for.

Written in a way that’s easy of children to understand I can recommend it. This book will encourage one to have faith and take action in their own lives. Love does. Actions speak louder than words, you get it. Pick this up today!
