A couple of weeks ago, my family and I made it to the Oregon Flock and Fiber Festival. This visit was our 7th! I didn’t spend a long time there since it was a long weekend and it was following getting up earlier and out the door for church ( I typically go on Saturdays and not Sundays but something else came up). We headed up after church since we were halfway there from our new home. We took lunch and walked around for a bit. Lots of inspiration for my own fiber related projects.
Melody has shown more of an interest in fiber crafting ( she was weaving this week) so I’m going to budget for her to be able to get something special from the festival next year. I got a single skein of a beautiful teal DK weight yarn from Mosiac Moon that was inspired by the 13th Doctor ( Doctor Who). We are behind in the series but we’ll get there. I love teal and this yarn is crying out to be a pretty hat or infinity scarf! …Time will tell.
My Mother in Law went up the day before I did and picked me up a new Bolga basket. It’s beautiful and I’ve been using it to host my works in progress right now. A few of my baskets broke during our move so it was nice to be able to replace at least one.
Right now I am weaving in loose ends and getting hats, cloths, and other household knits up for sale. Hoping to do well in selling this Fall season. Personal projects include a chicken-themed out ( Rhode Island Red Hat on Ravelry) and a blanket I’m not sure about finishing.
