Easter is literally next weekend! With that being said, there’s no time like right now to jump into a study to go through on your own or in a group setting on this very important time revolving around the resurrection of Christ. But what study should you do? There’s so many out there, I know. To ease into, watching a film and then discussing and studying it is on of my favorite ways ( especially with a group) to sit down and analyze the application for my life.
Recently there’s been a re-release of the film The Passion of Christ. It’s being offered on on Digital HD, Blu-ray and DVD, and for the first time ever it features English and Spanish audio. Along with this re-release, PURSUE THE PASSION, A 7-Day Easter Devotional, is now available on Beliefnet, Patheos and YouVersion to go along with.
This digital study guide is absolutely free. I checked it out myself and will also be going through it after watching the film ( for a second time) this weekend. For each day of the study, there’s a short video clip on what section of the story the devotional will be focused on. Following the video clip, there’s a section called Jesus Prepares, Pursue the Passion, What We Learn From Jesus, Questions, and a Challenge. It’s not overwhelming and can be done in around half an hour or less. It’s great for those who have never seen the film as well as those that want to look at the story in a new fresh way.

We hope that readers will find a new passion for Jesus as they watch the film and dive deeper with this study. We want them to say ‘I need to know this man who came for me, who died for me and who rose again for me…I need to pursue Him.’” -Shari Rigby, co-author, Pursue The Passion
