The NKJV Journal the Word™ Bible {Review}

The NKJV Journal the Word™ Bible is exactly what I was looking for. This Bible is the perfect for journaling, taking notes, and creating beautiful scripture inspired art. The first thing noted is that this a big Bible. You probably wouldn’t want to per say carry it along to church Sunday morning every week or to a weekly Bible study. For me, this Bible is perfect to use at home during my quiet times with God.

The Bible is hardcover and features a beautiful floral design on the front. The teal blue coloring looks lovely and works well with the cover of the Bible and with the cream colored pages within. When open the pages lay flat whether when placed on a table or when held by hand. There’s a ribbon bookmark to keep place.  The pages inside are lined with wide margins.  The lines, in my opinion, are light enough not to overpower any art I create inside.

Though the pages are thicker than most Bibles, I would suggest doing research before using any sort of art or ink mediums on the pages. Bleeding through to the next pages is not a desirable result. I would suggest using pens, pencils, art supplies that are solely intended for Bible journaling. I like using my Bible Journaling set from Ellie Claire.

The beginning pages of the Bible includes a “This Bible Belongs to Page”, Table of Contents, The books of the Bible in alphabetic order and a preface to the New King James Version.  The Bible ends with several lined pages to take notes.  The Words of Christ are in red.

I’m excited to create works of art within these pages when times slows down a little bit. I feel this would be a wonderful journaling Bible for anyone that prefers the NKJV of the Bible and is looking for a design with a feminine touch.

    Hi! I am actually considering getting this specifically to take along to church lol! I want to be able to take notes from the sermon in it. How big is it, really? Is there another that would be a better option? Thank you!

    Hi Amy!

    The Bible is 8.5×6 inches. I hope that helps. It’s not the biggest Bible but it’s not the smallest either. It’s in the middle so it’s easier to bring along and I feel there’s enough space to doodle and take notes.
