With a simple 5 minute format, the Really Woolly 5-Minute Bedtime Treasury will allow you to spend quality time with your children before they drift off to sleep and won’t leave you exhausted when they beg for just one more story.
The Really Woolly 5-Minute Bedtime Treasury storybook is wonderful. It features 30 devotionals ideal for children ages 3-7 years old. The devotions feature full scripture verses, simplified Bible stories, life applications, and end with a prayer.
In the beginning of the book, there’s a place to write down who the book belongs to, whom it was presented by, the occasion, and the date. There’s also a spot to jot down a prayer from who or whom the book is being gifted too and a bedtime prayer spot of their own. These features make this book not just a great devotional but a wonderful keepsake as well. The hardcover is padded and will stand up to use after use. There’s a ribbon bookmark to keep the spot for the next reading.
The colorful illustrations are absolutely adorable being full of animals as well as people! Some of the illustrations pour over full-page spreads and others don’t. The scenes are depicted well and everything works together beautifully. My children love looking at the pictures while being read to and so do I!
I like how the author explains the importance of creating a bedtime routine every evening in the introductory pages. This book gives parents and caregivers a resource to connect with their child(ren)and grow in the Word of God.
The stories start in the beginning (Genesis) and end with the Great Commission. I really like how the stories shared point out important character traits that children should practice. I adore this book and feel it would make a wonderful gift for both boys and girls. It would make a wonderful gift anytime of the year.
