Beautifully Hand-crafted JORD Wood Watches {Review + Giveaway}

Unique and exquisite are the two words that I believe best describe the watches offered by JORD. These aren’t your normal everyday watches by any means. These wonderful works of wearable art are in fact the first mechanically driven wood watches of their kind. I was drawn right away to the natural design and adored the fact that each are created from many different types of wood such as maple, bamboo, cherry, sandalwood, maple and few others. Every watch is truly one of kind even though made in the same style, every color and grain pattern of the wood will be completely different!

P1140316I’m pleased to be the proud owner of a Ely Series JORD watch in the natural Green and Maple wood option. Though the watch was appealing looking on the JORD website, nothing compares to how nice it appears in person. When the watch arrived it was presented in a box perfect gifting. Included with the watch is a limited warranty protection card and a mini pillow that the watch can be rested upon when not being worn.

I’m petite in size so I right away was drawn to the elegant small watch face design. I think the watch is quite sophisticated in appearance. The watch band was little large for my wrist but that was remedied thanks to my husband. These watches can be adjusted easily by removing a few links with a very small screwdriver, you can do it yourself or have a professional have a go at it. Three removed links gave me a perfect fit!

The face on my watch features the current date which you can adjust if needed. There are no numbers on the face and that’s just fine by me because if you can tell time you don’t really need them. The glass on the face is scratch proof and the watch is splash proof too. Though it’s splash proof it’s recommend not to full immerse the watch in water. The watch features a stainless steel single action locking clasp. This clasp is pretty neat and makes the watch come together beautifully as a whole. Recommended cleaning of the watch can be found on the JORD website and can simply be done by mixing two tablespoons each of olive oil and lemon juice. Apply a small amount to a soft cotton cloth and apply to the watch in brisk strokes. Further instructions for care are given and if interested I highly recommend checking that out.

Overall, never have I worn a more comfortable, light-weight, and attractive watch as this. I’m completely sold on the beauty and function. Happy I am as even to share whomever may be interested in knowing where this watch originated from! I think everyone should own a JORD watch. These watches are completely unique and sustainable. It’s really rather pleasing to know they hand-craft every single watch. There are currently 22 watch styles available in numerous types of woods found all over the world! I believe there’s a watch style for everyone at JORD.

    I just can’t decide, my husband says he thinks he wants the natural green, but I think he’ll be happier with the black or cherry. We like them all! They’re each one of a kind.

    I can’t seem to get the RSS feed subscribe button to work in the rafflecopter, is there another way to subscribe and enter my email address?

    When I click subscribe to RSS feed I get a page that says this at the top:
    “This XML file does not appear to have any style information associated with it. The document tree is shown below.”
    Then tons of html code below it.
