The Magic School Bus: All About Earth DVD {Review & Giveaway}

mgschoolbus

Did you know that April 22nd is Earth Day? It’s just around the corner and my children ages 4 & 2 have been doing lots of fun things leading up to the big day. There’s been all sort of talk and action as with recycling various objects around our house , growing and planting our own kitchen herbs and porch veggies, and learning lots of facts about our Earth Scientifically. And one of the main ways we’ve been learning about the Earth scientifically has primarily been with Emmy award winning science adventure series The Magic School Bus!

On the 16 the of April, Scholastics is releasing a brand new Magic School Bus DVD collection called “All About the Earth”. My family and I got a early copy and we are thrilled to be recommending it to our family, friends, and blog readers! On this DVD there are three all-new, never-before-released episodes as well as a special bonus episode.

Episodes:

GOES TO SEED – Topic: Seeds – The class’ garden is going to be featured on the cover of Plant It! Magazine, but Phoebe’s garden plot is glaringly empty.

BLOWS ITS TOP -Topic: Volcanoes – To help them understand how the Earth makes islands, Ms. Frizzle presents the kids with an island that hasn’t been discovered yet!

GOES ON AIR- Topic: Air Pressure -The only contribution the kids have made to the Walkerville Space Capsule is an empty jar. “It’s not empty,” argues Keesha. “It’s filled with air!”

BONUS EPISODE: The Magic School Bus All Dried Up

Our Thoughts…

My daughter age four though nearly five loves the Magic School Bus! She literally is glued to every episode watched. Afterward she started talking to me about what she learned! I am always so thrilled to see her so taken with learning new things and asking again and again to watch another episode! She’s a total science buff!

This the DVD is a must have for any household, especially if you home school your kids. Runtime is approximately 90 minutes long with extras. Age recommendations are for children ages 4-10 years old. The DVD also offers English and Spanish language options.
