Madagascar 3 Event at the Portland Zoo Recap!
It was raining and it was pouring. We even saw a bit of hail here and there with minimal breaks of sun. Living in the Northwest and being mildly used to rain , the weather didn’t stop my family and I from having a good time. In fact, we had a blast in celebrating the Blu-Ray & DVD debut of Madagascar 3, “Europe’s Most Wanted” with Radio Disney at the Oregon Zoo this last Saturday!
The Radio Disney team did an excellent job in providing a lot of fun activities, games, and prizes for the kids at the zoo. My daughter Melody (age 4 1/2) really enjoyed the music and dancing as well as the games! She even won a few prizes to bring home one which was a fun blow up ball which both my kids have happily been tossing around my house. The face painting was top notch and my daughter really loved getting her face painted like a Zebra!
There was a craft section set up where kids could make masks and there were lots of great coloring sheets to color at the event or to bring home for later. Each of my kids also were given fun Marty rainbow colored wigs as well as grab bags which included Doc McStuffins Halloween Pumpkin Carving stencils stickers, pencils, and few other things!
It was also great that I got to see my friend Crystal
,whom I’ve known since I was about 13 years old. She and I were pen-pals online and in the long run we somehow ended up living close to each other. It’s pretty crazy because when we met she lived in Utah and I lived in Maine! It’s a small world after all! Her family was also enjoying the celebration of Madagascar 3 as well as her younger ones second birthday! What better way than to celebrate a birthday than at the zoo?!
After attending the Madagascar 3 Event at the Portland Zoo we were free to explore the rest of the zoo. I’ll be writing up another post to talk about our favorite areas, exhibits, and animals at the zoo along with pictures! Be sure not to miss out on that post just in case you are planning on visiting the Portland Oregon Zoo soon.
