Portable, practical, professional, pocket sized, photo albums are exactly what you’ll be getting if you purchase one of Zoom Albums nifty photo book kits. These kits are wonderful and very easy to put together right in the comfort of your own home on your own personal computer, digital camera, and color ink jet printer.
I was given the opportunity to review my very own kit, thanks to Zoom Albums. The kit I am reviewing today is their Photo Cover Photo Album Kit which includes enough materials to create three 3″x3″ photo books with hard bound photo covers.
I really wish I videoed my progress when putting my photo book together so you could see how easy it was. I’m not that disappointed though since I know you can easily see the great videos put together by the people over at Zoom Album site!
As soon, as I got my kit I opened it and popped the included software into my computer. The Zoom Album Creator Software CD was simple to use in creating my album ever so easily.
The first step after the software is in installed is to choose 12 photos for the inside of the book and one photo for the cover . I choose to make an album of my daughter from birth to twelve months, so the number of photos was perfect! After choosing your photos, you can easily drag and drop them in whatever order you’d like them to be in your book. The next step would be cropping your photos so they all line up perfectly on each page, this step was a cinch.
Here’s my con with the software… It has where you can choose to add or not add text and photo frames. I was going to include a caption above each of my added photos but the text could not be easily uniform so I decided not to add it because it would have been too much of a hassle to play with.
The final step is setting up to print. I made sure to put the paper for the album into the printer the correct way. All instructions are printed on the back of the inside of the album photo sheet and on the back of the cover. Voila, printed and put together in less than a few minutes.
I love my little book of my daughter’s first year. It fits perfectly into my purse so I can show her off when she isn’t with me. It brings tears to my eyes to see that my little girl is no longer my little baby! Enough sobs moments, I am already thinking up what other kind of albums I want to create! It would be wonderful to make a mini wedding album, honeymoon album, our summer trip to the zoo album, 1st birthday, and the list could go on forever!
These albums make a great gifts and wonderful little keepsakes for your loved ones. If you decide on purchasing their other kit, you can decorate the cover with ribbons, stickers, embellishments, all found in the scrap-booking aisle!
Buy it: The Photo Book Kit I reviewed retails for $32.95 regularly on the ZoomAlbum website but is currently on sale for $23.07.
